If you know the power factor, you can easily calculate kVA from Horse Power.
KW=kVA X Power Factor
Thus, kVA = 0.746kW/Power Factor.
Lets say if you want to convert 10HP to kVA where power factor is 0.9, then
kVA= (10 x 0.746)/0.9 = 8.2kVA
